How can the Lahore Qalandars & Karachi Kings qualify for the PSL Playoffs?
With just one league game left in the PSL, it remains to be seen which four teams have qualified for the playoffs. As things stand, three of the four spots in the playoffs are confirmed, with Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United already through to the final four.

Here’s the latest points table, which shows Peshawar, Quetta and Islamabad are on 9, 9 and 8 points respectively. Karachi are on six and so are Lahore with Karachi having a game in hand.
How can the Karachi Kings & Lahore Qalandars qualify for playoffs?
Simple equation. If Karachi Kings, they are through and Lahore are out.
However, what happens if Karachi lose? Then both, Karachi and Lahore will end up on six points and the team with the better net run-rate will go through to the playoffs.
In that case, say Karachi bat first and score 100. Islamabad will need to score 101 in 18 overs or less to knock Karachi out and for Lahore to qualify. Similarly, if Karachi score 140, Islamabad will need to score those runs in 18 overs or less to ensure Lahore’s qualification.
Similarly, if Islamabad bat first and score 140 from 20 overs, Karachi will need to score more than 124 to ensure they make it to the playoffs and Lahore are knocked out. 124 or anything lower than 124 and Karachi will be knocked out and Lahore will qualify. If Islamabad made 160, Karachi need to score more than 146 to qualify,
